Long Term Care Bed T7036 and T7042
Coming home after a stroke
The problem
A stroke has left one side weaker. Rolling over, sitting up and steadying yourself on the edge of the bed all depend on a side of the body that no longer cooperates.
What it costs
Without something to pull against and a bed at the right height, every transfer takes two people, and practice the therapist assigns goes undone.
The answer
Add an optional half rail on the stronger side for a secure handhold, and use the five-function pendant to set the bed to a safe transfer height or raise it for the caregiver. The lawn-chair position supports sitting up for meals and in-bed exercises your therapist recommends. Eight locking casters keep it steady, and a backup battery covers up to 7 minutes in an outage.
